I have been trying to use idl 5.6 with a virtual desktop manager in
windows 2000 (I have three monitors connected to a single pc). I have
tried "Tri-Plus" and "Dexpot" virtual desktop managers.
Unfortunately, when idl is computing I am not able to switch between
the various desktops. This is the case even when idl is using only a
small fraction of the available cpu (I have a dual processor).

Anybody have any positive experience using a virtual desktop manager
with idl?
