Surely framemaker provides support for importing cgm files. I have found
the IDL support for cgm to be extremely useful for importing into
Microsoft Powerpoint. When converted to a Powerpoint object IDL plots
can be manipulated in the same way as the above author claims plots can be in Framemaker.
