You shouldn't have any problems.

EM64T is essentially AMD's x86-64 and I've haven't seen any problems
testing IDL x86-32 for linux on SUSE 9.1-64 running on a Athlon64. My
testing hasn't been exhaustive though. I haven't gotten around to
testing it with the XP-64 beta.

If you'll be running a 32bit OS then you're fine. I've been running IDL
on 2000/XP on the Athlon64 and now the "Nocona" EM64T enabled P4 w/o issue.
