Thanks for the comments about the stretching question.

What I want is to apply a linear stretch (2%), this is the display
default stretch used by ENVI. I tried to use David's code, but I think
that's not what ENVI does.

I also used STRETCH_DOIT routine, but it requires an input file and an
output file. Isn't there anything easier? I think David's code can
work out, but it seems to have something wrong...
