Hi!

How can I have my data (or image) recorded in a carteisian
2D plane to be projected to a sphere with a given radius?

Thanks for the help.

There is a section in the book _Image Processing in IDL_
(provided as a PDF file in the IDL distribution), starting
on page 233 that describes how to do this in both direct
graphics and object graphics. I couldn't find a reference
to it in the index, so I finally had to flip though the
book until I found it. I remembered seeing it there. :-)

Cheers,

David
