dear all..
i hope you all
are fine out there.
my today's problem is this:
i have built an application (with widgets) that visualizes satellite
images and you can zoom
in and out. on these maps i want to plot a point obtained with the
gps.
actually i have another small program that reads the gps signal and
displays the coordinates.
but now i would like to nest the gps reader into the map visualizer
and this is a
big problem for me.
i was looking for something that detects an event when a signal is
sent to the serial port but i couldn't find it.
another solution could be this: being the gps reader something that
should always be on (it must always run) i wanted to nest it in the
main event loop of my widget application but i don't know how to do
it... do i have to modify xmanager? i don't think this is a nice
solution....
please help
many thanx in advance...
