Folks,
I will be spending a couple of months in Munich soon
(May 24th - July 19th) working on some image processing projects
with Karsten Rodenacker and other scientists at GSF-Forschungszentrum.
A number of people have expressed interest in having me
lecture/teach mini-courses at various locations while I
am in Europe. I am currently putting together a schedule
and if you would like to be on it, you should contact me
as soon as possible. Topics can be customized for your
particular interests, or I can just talk about the things
I think you probably ought to know about IDL, but don't. :-)
I will be teaching a three-day IDL course in Munich at
GSF-Forschungszentrum, but the details (including time
and course topics) are still in flux. If you are interested,
please let me know and I'll notify you of the details as
soon as they are known.
I'm going to be busy working my way through a linear
algebra textbook, studying German, and drinking lots
of beer (not to mention writing a lot of IDL programs),
but I also promise to write a story or two while I
am there. :-)
Cheers,
David
