IDL 4.0 Mapping bug (Aitoff projection only) [message #4404]

There is a problem with the Aitoff map projection. The error can be seen by
issuing the demo command in IDL and choosing the Aitoff projection. The
error is in the returned Latitute/Longitude values of cursor position. They
are wrong (for example when the cursor is in the southern hemisphere, the
latitudes are still postive). We have checked the other projections and the
returned cursor locations appear to be working correctly.

Note that data plotted by the user in the Aitoff projection works fine, it
is when
requesting cursor positions there are errors.

RSI has been contacted and has acknowledged the problem. No word on a fix.
