Sorry if this is a FAQ. I am a new user of NEWS, so since I use PV~WAVE I've
subscribed to this Newsgroup. I was surprised to see discussion of IDL, because I was given to understand that IDL turned into PV~WAVE via a buyout, which is
obviously wrong from what I've read so far. Could someone E-mail a short (1-2
page) history of IDL and PV~WAVE and where they parted company.
