Hi,

Has anyone experienced/solved this problem? I've found nothing on
groups or RSI tech tips.

I am creating a modal dialog, using: wid = widget_base (..., /modal).

Only on Linux RedHat v7.2 and on IDL v6.0 and v6.1 (and possibly others
after v5.5), the dialog appears but is blank apart from the title bar,
and IDL crashes. If you can interrupt it using Ctrl-C, it says
'Interrupted at: XMANAGER_EVLOOP_REAL_MODAL'.

This doesn't affect the same IDL versions on Solaris, on on RedHat 9.

Very annoying - any ideas?
