Open a command shell with 'spawn, "cmd"' and see if you can run your
command manually?

Spawn a batch file which calls your command and then "wait" (or whatever
they call the Windows command to wait for input)? Then you should be
able to see the error message.

Thanks for the help!

I was able to get it to work opening a shell in windows using the CMD
or COMMAND. When I did it in spawn, it was unhappy. However, I fell
to the old default and rebooted windows (hadn't done that in months)
and then it started working normally. *shrug* very strange, but as
long as it is working in the end....
