Hardware Fonts [message #44893] Sun, 24 July 2005 14:18

Hello there,

I read some post messages saying that is not possible to rotate
hardware fonts. I'm using 'Arial' hardware font in my plots... The Y
Title is shown like this:

Y
T
Y
T
L
E

Why hardware fonts can't be rotated? Why these fonts work in Excel axis
and not in IDL? My plots must have best resolution on the screen and
vector and true fonts have not shown good results.

What's the best way to get high resolution plots?

Any comments wellcome,

Regards,
Julio
