Hi,
I just started tinkering around with ONLINE_HELP in IDL 6.2 and it
seems to be a very nice and relatively simple solution to the problem
of providing documentation to users of our applications. It certainly
is a heck of a lot better than the PDF docs that we've resigned
ourselves to using until now. I found it straightforward to create a
simple documentation set with multiple hyperlinked pages and keyword
referencing for a single application in less than an hour. I'm hoping
that someone else has been playing a bit with this new feature and can
help me out with a question.
We distribute a single application that is composed of many parts
requiring an individual documentation set for each component. Is it
possible to reference multiple .adp (Assistant Document Profile) files
from one? There may be a better way to do this but I would like each
developer to be responsible for providing their own documentation:
HTML files + an .ADP file to organize their own stuff. Then the
overall "project manager" would be responsible for only one "uber"-.ADP
file to link to all of the other ones provided by the developers.
Many thanks in advance,
Rob
