I am considering writing software in IDL to read DICOM radiotherapy
prescriptions from a DICOM server. I've never worked with DICOM before,
and I understand there is a DICOM module produced by RSI. I assume I'd
need to use this to get the prescriptions of the server? Would the
prescription be read in as an IDL object which I could then manipulate?
Or would I need to parse the DICOM myself?

Thanks for any advice,
