Whoops! That letter must have been a dynamite one!
It appears DRAG events *do* work in IDL 6.2 on Windows.

Do you know if drag events are generated in Mac OSX?

I think your only option is to write a nice letter
to Mr Gates. Windows just don't do it! :-)
