Hi everybody,

when using DIALOG_PICKFILE under *nix, the user can set a filter for
the files to be displayed. I would like DIALOG_PICKFILE to return the
user-defined value. And it seems as if I am not the only one (I found a
short thread in this forum at http://tinyurl.com/d9nre ). Well, that
was back in 2001 and the answer was just "no, you can't". So four years
have passed and I would just like to ask if someone probably had the
same idea and came up with a solution in the meantime?
