Hi All,

does anyone happen to know how I can use wildcards with idl commands
like "where"?
For example, I'd like to find all occurances of names starting only
with 'HIP' in the tag 'name' of structure 'stars' in the following
(hypothetical) way:

x=where(stars.name eq 'HIP*',nx)

Any ideas?

Thanks,
KL
