get_kw_params in V4.0 - what's changed? [message #4583]

I have a FORTRAN routine that calls get_kw_params which is LINKIMAGE'd into
IDL (VAX VMS version). The routine works fine under V3.6 but fails with
an access violation under V4.0. I have already made modifications to
handle the increase in size of IDL variables from 10 to 18 bytes.

Does anyone know what has changed with this routine? RSI says the internals
docs won't be ready for 5 weeks. I'd rather not wait that long. Trying
to get an answer from them is like communicating with someone from
Alpha Centauri!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
