I, too, was hoping version 4.0 included improvements, and was disappointed.
The answer, of course, is to badger RSI directly (assuming you're on support)
and make it clear how you feel about this. I've done my share of pestering
and RSI claims that there are plans to make improvements for the next
release. If you feel strongly about this or have suggestions about what
you'd like to see, let them know! They have no obligation to respond to
anything that gets posted here, but they will respond to direct
communication with them (if only to reply that they're taking your thoughts
into consideration.)
I get the impression that none of the developers at RSI have their own
private libraries or non-RSI libraries (why would they?) so they may not
realize how important support for searching and using non-RSI libraries
can be. Let them know!
