Does anyone know how I can generate spherical data points to superimpose
on a 3D shaded surface plot. Using usersym allows you to define a symbol
in the (X,Y) plane only. By using plots and connecting the dots I can make
squares etc but what I would really like is an isosurface-like sphere that I
can repeat at the location of actual data points being compared to a
theoretically generated shaded surface.

Thanks, Thom
