The previous message should have read

The user routine efont (with changes) allows the hershey font file to be
edited. My question is, "if you have modified the hershey font file and have a
copy of it in your own directories (not $IDL_DIR), is there a way to get IDL to
read this font file instead of $IDL_DIR/hersh1.chr?
