Hi;
I am running IDL 4.0 on a Power Mac 7100/66 with 32 MB of RAM. While I was
running 3.6.1, I had noticed that the output to the log window was very
slow and I was told by the IDL technical staff that it is a known (but
undocumented) bug for the Macintosh. It seems that the new version has
the same problem in a different way.
The output to the log window is fast enough for a while but it eventually
slows down to a crawl. I think the slow down happens when the number of
lines exceed the amount it is set to save. The difference in speed is
almost a factor of 5. Also the log window starts blinking!
So I was wondering if any one else has seen this problem and if so, there
is any solution to (beside setting the number of saved lines to an
absurdly large value).
