Dear IDL users,

I recently started to use iPlot for plotting my data. I really like the
interactivity between iTools and the IDL command line. I've never used
Direct Graphics much before but since I discovered iTools, I prefer
this by far for my plotting purposes.

That said, there's a thing I don't like about iTools: Whatever format I
choose when I export plots, the result is always bad. But when I print
the plots directly from iTools, they look awesome. I've read that it
could be the IDL version I'm using (6.1) but I'm not sure a newer
version would give better results.

Does anyone have tricks to get good quality exports of plots made with
iPlot?
