Does anybody have an IDL subroutine that allows for zooming
in on geographical regions ?

I want to display some data on top of a map and allow the user
to "rubber-band" select a subset of the displayed area.
Once this is done, the display should show a new map covering
the smaller (newly selected) area of interest.
