I apologise if this has recently come up (it might be in postings which have
expired on our system).
I have noticed that the hires continental outlines in IDL 4.0 are missing out
many islands (e.g. the Faroes, Orkneys etc). These appear in the coast outline,
but not in the continental outline, or the fillable datasets. As these are
small islands, one solution would be to pull the information from the chigh.dat
and chigh.ndx data files, and insert it into the phigh.dat and phigh.ndx files.
However, this is likely to be very complicated to do for the complete dataset,
bearing in mind that I don't know all the islands that are missing. So, before
I begin, has anyone already done this?
Alternatively, has anyone got any suggestions on the best way to approach this?
