We in RSI Global Services encourage the use of IDLdoc by Mike Galloy. It's
become a de facto standard on many large government projects, especially
those on which
multiple developers are involved.

See http://www.rsinc.com/codebank/search.asp?FID=100.

MAKE_HTML_HELP, though not obsolete, should be considered
outdated at best.

IDLWAVE will do a lot of things "to you," but it specializes
in psychological torture, not documentation. I think I would
stick with MAKE_HTML_HELP. :-)

Are there any plans to put something like IDLdoc into IDL 7.0?
If you're going to overhaul the IDLDE it might be an opportune time to
introduce an integrated documentation tool too.
