FORTRAN (f77) DIRECT ACCESS FOR FILES [message #4743]

Have you tried to read into IDL a direct access file created by a FORTRAN
program ? There does not appear to be any documentation in any of the manuals,
but have you had any success ( or failures ) attempting to do this ?

Please let me know if you have any experience of this problem.
