RSI would like to take this opportunity to inform the IDL and ENVI
user communities of a change in our corporate name. As of May 15, 2006,
we will begin doing business as ITT Visual Information Solutions.
Although the name of our company is changing, our
commitment to providing you with the highest quality remote sensing, image
processing, data visualization and analysis software and services will
remain the same. We will continue to develop IDL, ENVI, IAS and other
complementary products and offer a full compliment of educational, support
and consulting services.
RSI became a wholly owned subsidiary of ITT Industries in March 2004.
This name change allows us to leverage the strength of our parent
company to expand our products and services offerings. The name change does
not affect our operations, the services we provide, or our commitment to
IDL, ENVI and IAS. Providing solutions to our customers -- whether by
providing software or expertise -- remains
our top priority.
Our new web site address will be www.ittvis.com, and over the next few days
electronic mail addresses will change to be the same name convention we have
now + @ittvis.com. URLs and e-mail addresses using the rsinc.com domain name
will continue to function, and will be automatically redirected to the new
domain.
The company name change will be reflected in our products and their
documentation over time, as new versions are released. Specifically,
the IDL 6.3, ENVI 4.3 and IAS 2.2 releases do *not* incorporate the new
company name, but future releases will. The names of our products will
remain the same as always.

Information Solutions, we look forward to providing you with the
same high quality software technologies and services as we have for 29 years
