DESCRIPTION field missing from read_tiff() [message #48759]

I just noticed, sadly, that the write_tiff procedure has a description
field

WRITE_TIFF, Filename [, Image]. . . [, DESCRIPTION=string] . . .

but read_tiff can't help you get your string back

Result = READ_TIFF( Filename [, R, G, B] . . . {S.O.L.} )

Any suggestions for how to tuck some information away in the tiff for
later retrieval within IDL. I'd love to not have to create separate
descriptive text files.
