Greetings all!

I am a research assistant in astrophysics. I want to learn IDL. So
I've got my manuals and I'm practicing. Now I need opportunities to
volunteer for some basic programming experience. I am happy to work
hard and start at the bottom of the food chain. My ultimate goal is to
get some meaningful and legitimate IDL experience that I can put on my
resume for astrophysics research assistant.

Does anybody here have ideas of how to volunteer for basic IDL
programming experience? I would be responsible for myself and be very
independent.
