I am pleased to announce the release of IDL 6.3 for Mac OS X on Intel.
This new IDL release runs as a native application on all Mac Intel
supported machines and offers significant performance benefits. We have
seen a growing popularity of Mac OS X for scientific and analysis
applications, and this release represents our ongoing commitment to
this growing base of IDL users.
Current IDL 6.3 for Mac PowerPC license holders and those interested in
evaluating IDL for Mac Intel can download the new release at no charge
from http://www.ittvis.com/download/download.asp. Transferring a
current "LT" or "PU" license for IDL Mac PowerPC may require a new
license file for the Mac Intel machine. For assistance, please contact
Technical Support at support@ittvis.com. Upgrades and new license
purchases for the new IDL 6.3 for Mac Intel can be obtained by
contacting an IDL account representative at www.ittvis.com/contactus.
