IDL 4.0 under Windows95? [message #4967]

Can anyone comment on how well version 4.0 runs under Windows95? Someone
here tried 3.6, which ran fairly well, except for the fact that it's 16 bit,
and thus doesn't get pre-emptively multitasked. However, when they tried to
install 4.0 (which uses the 32s libraries) from CD the installation script
crashed half way through.

We'd like to know whether 4.0 actually runs under Win95, whether it gets
pre-emptively multitasked, and whether there are any performance hits/gains.
