I am new to using wavelets for data processing, and would like to see how
well wavelets work for removing noise from my images (for starters).
PV-WAVE routine QMFDESIGN and WAVELET seem to work quite well for 1-D signals
but apparently cannot process data sets with higher dimensionality (this was
confirmed by VNI). I do not know how to do wavelet processing on N-D data sets,
and I would greatly appreciate any pv-wave/idl code or detailed descriptions of
algorithms for processing N-D data. PV-Wave uses the QMF approach to calculate
their wavelets, and algorithms that use that formalism may make it easier for me
to write new code using existing PV-Wave routines.

If you can help me, please post or send e-mail directly to me. Thank you for
your time.

Sincerely,
Ron Behling
