I thought I was already famous ;-)
We'll, I just thought that it's about time I gave some of my efforts a
healthy spruking. I occasionally get the feeling that the IDL medical
imaging community is somewhat dwindling. I think that ITT Sales people
need to really spruke up IDL and make it sound exciting.
This looks like a job for the *** IDL Surprise Spruker ***
THIS IS COMPLETE MADNESS. OUT THE DOOR WITH IDL 6.1!
ALL HEAP VARIABLES ARE FREE. YES FREE!
DON'T WAIT FOR ALLOCATION. JUST GET YOUR PROPERTY AND GO!
IT'S A MASSIVE CLEANUP FUNCTION. NOTHING IS TO BE SAVED.
FILE AND DIRECTORY DELIMITERS ARE SLASHED!
ALL ARRAYS ARE TO HAVE THEIR DIMENSIONS CUT
SLICER VOLUMES - 3D.
TV IMAGES HAVE BEEN SLICED TO 2D. YES 2D!
PLOTS - 2 FOR 1D
IT'S A SELL OUT! ALL IDL_CONTAINERS MUST MOVE.
THIS IS A .RUN .OUT SALE.
(For those who have not been introduced to the surprise spruker just
visit http://www.abc.net.au/tv/chaser/ or download the latest episode)

And the benefit of all this hard work is ... what? Fame? :-)
Cheers,
David
P.S. Take my word for it, it's hard to get rich distributing
free software. :-(
