Reading PVWAVE files into IDL [message #5036]

Hello,

Does anyone know of a straight forward way of transferring
a PV-WAVE data set i.e. 'save,/variables' file, into IDL. PV-WAVE
seems to read IDL savesets quite happily using the WAVE3_RESTORE
command but there doesn't seem to be anything going in the other
direction. Alternatively, is it possible to save PV-WAVE data in a
form (other than binary or ASCII formatted files) so that they can
be read in IDL?
