Hi everyone:
I am new to IDl and matlab..I wonder if you can help me minimizing the
edge effects that were shown as a "ring" on the derivative of the
displacement images? I did some research and found matlab function uses
a cosine taper window at the edges of the data to reduce the values
till zero is observed. it makes perfect sense to me mathematically but
so stuck in implementing it.

any help or suggestion is greatly appreaciated.
