Folks,

Here is an interesting thesis topic for you.

Let people know you have published a technical article
on a technical newsgroup. Mention the words "pretty girl"
in the article. Examine page downloads for the next hour
to see which article generates more interest.

Here is some preliminary data:

technical article: 10
pretty girl: 465

Let's just say I'm about to set a new record for page
hits today!!

An interesting side-story: Anyone who has worked much with image
processing and compression algorithms has probably seen the Lenna
image. What many do not know is that this was originally a playboy
centerfold cropped to show just her head...
