Hi,

# IDL_STDIN_UNIT - Unit 0 (zero) is the standard input for the IDL
process.
# IDL_STDOUT_UNIT - Unit -1 is the standard output.
# IDL_STDERR_UNIT - Unit -2 is the standard error.

Is there a way to redirect STDERR to /dev/null from WITHIN IDL?

Reason: Still trying to figure out a way to suppress the syntax error
messages when using RESOLVE_ROUTINE... idl-bridge suppresses the error
message BUT the routine that was resolved doesnt seem to be loaded in
the original IDL session.

thanks and best regads,

dometz
