Hi. I have got an image which is in the geostationary satellite
projection. And I know the parameters such as distance of the
satellite, lon/lat limit values, sphere_radius, etc. I want to remap
this image to another projection such as polar stereographic or
mercator in IDL.

I have tried the map_image. But if I am not wrong, it only gets images
in geographic lat/lon projection (plate caree) as an input, then
converts to another projection.

Is there a way to do that in IDL?
