Natural Neighbor Interpolation [message #51509] Thu, 23 November 2006 11:04

Does anyone know of an IDL implementation of natural neighbor
interpolation (e.g.,
http://ngwww.ucar.edu/ngdoc/ng4.4/ngmath/natgrid/intro.html)?

Trigrid or similar algoritms don't do the trick for the task at hand,
and I've not come up with an efficient approach that doesn't rely
heavily on loops. (Efficiency matters a lot.) I suppose I could always
download the NCAR routines and wrap a DRM around natgrid, but would
prefer to find an IDL version if one exists.

Thanks,
Jeff
