IDLWAVE (Mac) launching IDL as PPC rather than Intel [message #51802]

I have IDL 6.3 running on an Intel Mac. From the command line, it
launches as a native Intel application. But from IDLWAVE it launches
as a Power PC (ppc) application, which makes it much slower. (emacs
itself is running as an Intel application.)

Any ideas?
