Hi Everyone

This is another interesting thing that has been bugging me:

Every GIS software allows one to do simple operations like Union and
Intersection upon shapefiles. How does one do it in IDL?

I know there are no in-built functions for it in IDL and Mr Fanning
suggests I have to use some mathematics for it. But I am not sure what
to use and how.

Hope I get some prompt ones.
