It's no problem being a beginner. Just be sure you
are doing your homework and realize everyone here is
*suppose* to be doing something productive with their
time besides answering questions. You really only have
to ask once. If someone knows the answer, or has time
to respond, they will.

In this case, I think we were giving you time to
discover for yourself what was wrong. When someone
jumps on the newsgroup like this, and starts asking
obvious questions, and seems in a big hurry for the
answer, there is a tendency to think we are doing
someone's homework assignment for them. We are not
here for that. But I think you will find we tolerate
all kinds of real questions cheerfully.
