3D velocity field representation [message #5322] Fri, 10 November 1995 00:00

This is a question from a newcomer to IDL (so new, in fact,
that I have only a temporary demo licence).

My problem is the following: I have an ascii file containing
the x, y, z coordinates and the 3 velocity components of a
set of 1,000 particles (thus a 6 columns, 1000 rows matrix).
I would like to visualize the instantaneous 3D velocity field
of the particles. Could someone give me a hint on how to do it?
I have been trying the FLOW3 procedure, but without succes.

Thanks for any clue.
