Help with DLL .def files? [message #5350] Fri, 03 November 1995 00:00

Could someone please explain .def files to me? I'm
trying to write a DLL for use with IDL, and I'm using Watcom C
to build my DLL. I have a .def file (like in the example that
came with IDL), but I'm not sure what to do with it. Do I use
it as source to my project and build the DLL with it? If so, how?
Watcom didn't like that. Or do I just put it in a certain directory
to be referenced? I just don't know. IDL won't recognize my DLL
functions without the .def file (I think). Please help me if you can.
Thanks.
