anyone aware of a GA routine for parametric inversion available within
idl?
As I recall an imsl library is now available at extra charge for idl -
does this include a GA option for parametric inversion?

Hi Michael,

I do an IDL Christmas Card every year and the 2005 one was a GA for
planning Santa's route. The source code is here

And should be generic enough for you to build on.

Michael,

I couple of years ago I did some work on a GA, the code is still
available at http://www.xs4all.nl/~ajwwag
I wrote a small GUI around, but note that the coding is crappy. The GA
code itself is (hopefully) not to bad.
