Hi!
You should compile this library for your configuration IDL/OS.
Just run Makefile in $IDL_DIR/external/rpc/ directory. This
should create the library. (Please, note that the directory is not
external/examples/rpc but external/rpc).
I've checked this for IDL4.0/SunOS4.1.3 - all examples work.
