The letters ESRG stand for Earth Space Research Group. We are part of the
Institute for Computational Earth System Science, at the University of
California, Santa Barbara. The the esrg library contains about 200
procedures covering a fairly wide variety of topics, but focusing mostly
on remote sensing and atmospheric science. There are also quite a number
of general purpose procedures which should be of general interest (for
example a nice routine to interactively draw legends on plots). You can
get the latest version of the package via anonymous ftp at....
icess.ucsb.edu:/pub/idl/esrg_idl_3.3.tar.Z
Read README_3.3 to get an overview.
