I'm assuming you mean - none of the idlwave stuff is needed. I did rm
idlw* and it reports idl61_em22. Thanks.

Yep, probably you need to strip out all your old install (check
/usr/local/share/emacs/site-lisp/). None of it is needed.

I just installed Emacs 22 and on startup it reports that IDLWAVE is
v6.0. I had emacs 21 before (with IDLWAVE version???)
Should it report 6.1?
