I highly recommend using RSS to keep up with new content, especially
on michaelgalloy.com:

I use NetNewsWire (works great on Mac OS X and syncs between multiple
computers), but a lot of people just use Google Reader now. I have
heard with the new Google Gears that it will even work offline. But
there's a limit to how much I want Google to know about me, so I think
I will stick with NetNewsWire.
